Cold War

We have entered another cold war,
          Krushchev, and I am awaiting the text of your
secret speech. You shut the doors on my rotting corpse,
          but I respect your leadership.
You call me Stalin, which I resent,
          and you mock my every thought.
We have a Civil Cold War here,
          Krushchev, reversing the order of time.
Thawing the liberty from heart’s choices,
          as I attempted to freeze yours in my palm.
Struggling for power between ourselves,
          and within the world, Oh USA,
                    Truman how your doctrine teases me!
          Fight your own frivolous war and remain out of ours.
Krushchev, I beg of you, retract your beliefs,
          I shall do the same. We will start over.
Knowing that the world we created,
          Is just as evil as this war.
